About Michael

Michael began his comedy career long before he realized he could actually be paid for it. Always the class clown, Michael’s antics (poor behavior) kept his instructors on their toes and kept him in the principal’s office.

Growing up in the Midwest , Michael had many opportunities to pick up new material. From his typically dysfunctional family to his pickup driving, hillbilly friends – the act practically wrote itself.

After leaving high school, Michael joined the United States Army. Basic training was at Ft. Benning , GA , the home of the infantry. During his military tour, he served in several units including the 101st Airborne at Ft Campbell, KY and The United Nations Command Honor Guard in Seoul , Korea . Michael also spent time in England , Wales , Japan and of course the USA !!

Upon being discharged from the Army, Michael spent a couple of years working with various companies and owning several small businesses: traveling with a German construction company, a stint as a bartender and owning a music store, just to name a few.

Working in sales for an environmental company, Michael began to realize that something was missing in his life. He again turned to performing. Working days for the man and working nights trying to get stage time, Michael began to develop his own style. This also included a stint with a three man acoustic band. Michael was allowed to do vocals and play guitar. Quite frankly, he wasn’t very good at either. One of the guys in the band was Jerry Garcia….OK….not THE Jerry Garcia, but his name really was Jerry Garcia.

Becoming a DJ in the Mid 90’s gave Michael plenty of time to be the center of attention and feed his fragile ego. Developing a very loyal following that still supports his comedy show.

After much consideration and many sleepless nights, he quit his day job and began to pursue comedy full time. Working in any venue that would give him stage time, including bowling alleys, seedy bars and even a bait shop, Michael began to develop a show that people would actually pay to see. Sleeping in his car and traveling nationwide, people began to take notice.

Many years later, after signing with his current management company, Comedy Productions, Michael is headlining sold out comedy clubs, corporate events and colleges nationwide. His unique blend of comedy, mixed with a twisted sense of humor and high energy, make this a one of a kind show.

Having worked with some of the biggest names in comedy and music, Michael has fast become one of the most in demand entertainers on the comedy circuit. When not on the road, Michael will be performing in his own Las Vegas show.
